Background Check

Criminal Background Checks and driver’s license checks (collectively herein referred to as “Background Checks”) will be conducted on all conditionally accepted applicants prior to their enrollment in the HVAC Program (the “Program”). Reliable Academy will designate a company to conduct the Background Checks and this company will issue reports directly to the Office of the President or his designees in the Office of Admissions. The School’s Conditional Letter of Acceptance and Enrollment Application will inform prospective Students about the background check policy and the School shall provide a copy of his/her rights according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”). Final admittance into the Program is conditional on a satisfactory background report which must be completed and approved prior to admission. Any omission of required information, including the failure to provide the consent, or submitting false, misleading or incomplete information by the prospective or current Student may result in withdrawal of conditional acceptance and/or immediate termination/dismissal from the Program.

*Some training occurs in an operating HVAC company using compressed gasses and live high voltage electrical current.  Many Lab systems are fully functional and pose a danger to students if safety protocols are not followed.  At no time is a student to operate or use these lab systems except under the direction of the instructor.  Failure to adhere to this policy could be cause for immediate removal from the class.*
